FACTS selected by the State of Michigan for 5+ years
The Michigan DNR is moving from paper to electronic reporting in order to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and enforcement capabilities when monitoring, tracking, and managing Michigans commercial and charter fisheries and wholesale industry.
Electric Edges FACTS platform has been selected for a 5 year contract (with an option for up to 2 more years) to provide electronic data collection and reporting, harvest verification, and data management for the states commercial, charter, and wholesale needs.
Keeping inline with the FACTS philosophy of constant iteration, the system will be launched in a pilot mode where end users will have plenty of time to try out the system and provide feedback. That feedback will be used over the course of the pilot to continually make changes and upgrades. This will make sure that when the pilot ends and the system becomes mandatory, it will be sure to please while also keeping data quality and accuracy high.
We wont stop there though. says Electric Edge (makers of FACTS) president Bryan Stevenson. In fact we will keep that process of feedback and change going throughout this project its a great way to build and keep a system fresh and meeting everyones needs. Weve found that always engaging with end users and keeping the flow of feedback coming helps to foster a great deal of trust and satisfaction. Once user realize they are being listened to, the level of engagement increases and the system gets better because of it. We do not build, launch, and vanish as is often the case with IT systems contracting we become an extension of our clients team.
Project kick-off is August 1, 2017 - keep an eye out here for updates!
